Measles vaccines

Due to outbreaks of measles being reported in the South of England we are recommending anyone who has not had 2 doses of the measles vaccine (known as MMR) to make an appointment with our nurse to have this done.  This is especially important if you are travelling to Romania, Italy or Germany.

Sister Liz Randall

Liz has now retired from Lyndhurst Surgery after 29 years service.  We have a book in the surgery which you are welcome to add any comments or thoughts in and we will be giving it to her at the end of June. 

We  have a new Practice Nurse starting shortly, Julie Sweeney who will continue the Diabetic care of Liz's patients.

Prof Lyon-Maris

After 22 years Prof Johnny Lyon-Maris has stepped down as a GP Partner in order to continue his work within the Education Unit. 

Dr Selina Sawhney

Dr Sawhney is leaving the surgery on Friday 29th June to have her baby early July.  She will not be returning to us as she is moving away and wishes to spend more time with her new family.  We wish her every happiness.

Sister Liz Randall

Liz has now retired after 29 years service.  We have a book for patients to write a comment in if they would like. It is in the Reception Area and we will keep it there for a further month or so.

Measles Vaccine

We are strongly recommending all patients over the age of 3 years 4 months who have not had 2 doses of the  measles vaccination (known as MMR) to have a Measles immunisation.  If you have had Measles you will be covered.  If you need to have this vaccination please make an appointment with our nursing team.  This is especially important if you plan to travel to Romania, Germany or Italy.
