Measles vaccines

Due to outbreaks of measles being reported in the South of England we are recommending anyone who has not had 2 doses of the measles vaccine (known as MMR) to make an appointment with our nurse to have this done.  This is especially important if you are travelling to Romania, Italy or Germany.

Community Midwives

The Midwifery team can be contacted via Totton Health Centre on 02380743234 (where an answerphone message may be left)or Lyndhurst Surgery. In the event of a pregnancy concern the duty midwife can be contacted at the New Forest Birthing Centre on 023 80747690 or 023 80747698 or one of the Lyndhurst Surgery doctors through reception. We can offer help and advice on all aspects of pregnancy, including birth in the Midwife-lead Birthing Centres, at home or the major Hospitals.  Parent craft courses, for first time mums and refresher courses, may be arranged through Maternity Information Services at the Princess Anne Hospital on 02380 796052.

Health Visitors

Health Visitors are no longer based at Lyndhurst Surgery.  If you wish to speak with a Health Visitor please telephone 01590 689275.

We hold a Baby clinic here on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month between 9-10.30 am.  There is no need to make an appointment.  Please bring your baby book with you.
