 The NHS is well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases and has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.

Measles vaccines

Due to outbreaks of measles being reported in the South of England we are recommending anyone who has not had 2 doses of the measles vaccine (known as MMR) to make an appointment with our nurse to have this done.  This is especially important if you are travelling to Romania, Italy or Germany.

 

 

 

Home Visits

Home visits are never done as routine.

Please try to telephone reception before 10am if you wish to discuss a home visit.

A doctor or nurse will phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Remember it is always safer to be seen in surgery, where appropriate equipment, examination facilities and computer access are available.
