CORONAVIRUS

If you have been to an affected place in the last 14 days OR had contact with somebody with Coronavirus AND have any of these symptoms:  Cough, Fever, Shortness of breath, please search 'NHS coronavirus' for advice and to access the 111 online coronavirus service, or call NHS 111.  Please do not attend the surgery.

In light of the current situation and in the best interests of our patients and staff, we will temporarily be changing routine appointments to telephone consultations.  Please speak to a receptionist if you wish to book a telephone call to discuss a routine medical matter with a nurse or doctor.  Patients with urgent queries will be triaged by the doctor in the usual way and offered a face to face consultation if required.  For more information on our triage service, please click on the appointments tab at the top of the page.

Online booking of appointments has been temporarily suspended and we apologise for this inconvenience.

 The NHS is well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases and has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.

Measles vaccines

Due to outbreaks of measles being reported in the South of England we are recommending anyone who has not had 2 doses of the measles vaccine (known as MMR) to make an appointment with our nurse to have this done.  This is especially important if you are travelling to Romania, Italy or Germany.

 

 

 

UTC - Urgent Treatment Centre

If you have sustained a minor injury which is no older than two weeks, you can walk in between the hours of 8 am and 9pm

OR

you have a newly presenting minor illness which requires urgent attention that you have been unable to see your GP about, then you can walk in between the hours of 8am and 9pm.

This service will be replacing the Minor Injuries Unit at Lymington.

Appointments +

This is an appointment service which is available by contacting us at Lyndhurst Surgery.  This service is open Mon-Fri 6.30pm - 10pm and on Saturdays and Sundays it will be open from 8 am - 10pm.

There are also appointments at Ringwood Medical Centre, Romsey, Testvale Surgery and in Winchester at Badger Farm.

You will be able to see a GP, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, a Practice Nurse, a Healthcare Assistant, a physio and there is Mental Health Service available.

If you wish to cancel an appointment you can ring a central booking hub on 0333 321 8834.  They are not able to MAKE appointments.

If you see a Healthcare Professional at the above they will have access to your clinical records.  If you have opted to dissent from this we will need to amend that here at Lyndhurst, before your appointment.

This service will be replacing The Practice at Lymington.
